How can you become a cashier at No Frills?

I would really like to be a cashier at No Frills. It will be my first job, so I don't have a great resume or any work history. Can I apply right to be a cashier or will I have to take a lower position first? Without any work experience, can I still get the job? How are the hours ( want to work doing school year) and is it hard to do? I heard the codes are hard to learn.
