Will it Help or Hinder my efforts to get my cats to Like Each Other?

As you all know by now, Frills the mother cat whose daughter died, will just Not Accept this new young kitten, Tabitha Two's. ... Now,, you can't 'make' people like each other,& I'm assuming it's much the same with cats. But I have to Try Everything. .... I have been wondering,, If I could put some of the 'smell' of Tabitha May (the one who died), Onto little Tabitha Two's (the new kitten),, Would that Help Frills(the mother cat) to Accept young Tabitha Two's? Or would it only make things Worse? ..... NB:: Frills Knows her daughter is dead, she has seen & smelled her dead body,& spends much of the day & night out by Tabitha May's grave,or nearby curled up looking at it. ... I thought some of the hair I kept could be put on Tabby Two's, somehow, maybe? But would the 2 smells of the 2 cats only make things worse? :::: Sorry for any mistakes in spelling. Young Tabby Two's is on my lap while I'm typing & meowing when my arm knocks her head!
